Mission Statement

The HBCU-CFE will serve as a unique resource center designed to facilitate, develop, implement and promote strategies and opportunities for Historically Black Colleges and Universities to:

  • Promote workforce development
  • Enhance substance abuse and mental health curriculum development
  • Expand student mental health and substance abuse prevention and intervention strategies
  • Broaden knowledge base, interest and exposure of students to evidence based mental health and substance abuse initiatives.

The HBCU-CFE, through an established HBCU network, will advance these goals by building and strengthening collaborative partnerships.
